The Dept. of English of Maharshi  Dayanand College of Arts, Science & Commerce, Parel, Mumbai-12, is organizing  a One Day  UGC Sponsored National Seminar on “Translation : Issues and Perspectives” on Saturday , 21^st September 2013.

Ø Challenges in the Translation of Literary Texts.

Ø Transliteration.

Ø Experience of Practising Translation.

Ø Translation and Linguistics.

Ø Specific issues concerning Literary Translation: Poetry, Prose, Fiction, Non-fiction and Drama.

Ø The Relevance of Socio-Cultural Translation: Religion, Mythology and Gender.

Ø Problems of Translation.
